Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse spotted at 2012 Geneva Motor Show

It’s pretty hard to top the record-breaking speed of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, but it looks like the French automakers built another supercar capable of clocking in similar speeds, while bearing the lifestyle finesse of the Veyron Grand Sport. Gentlemen, peep the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. As predicted, the next-gen Bugatti rode onto the showroom floor of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, with the company unveiling the vehicle’s performance and engineering specs.

So what are we talking about here? How about a production car that can reach a top speed of 255 mph? Believe it. Powered by a 1,2000 hp, quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 engine, the Vitesse sprints at an acceleration that’s estimated to be 13 mph shorter than the world speed record. It can shoot to 60 mph in only 2.6 seconds. Expect a peak power delivered at 6,400 rpm, with torque registered between 3,000 and 5,000 rpm. Other new attributes include a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and carbon fiber interior. Looks pretty sweet.

Bugatti has yet to mention pricing or a release date, but we’re hoping it hits the market no later than early 2013.
