2017 BMW 1 Series Sedan

It is so out of BMW’s character to introduce an entry-level sedan, but the luxury carmaker plans on doing so with a 1 Series Sedan release penciled in for 2017. BMW executive Norbet Reithofer has greenlit production on the model, which carries the codename NES (New Entry-Level Sedan) and is set to feature front-wheel-drive. One BMW source claims the 1 Series Sedan “is integral to our growth plans. It will be an important pillar in the future 1 Series lineup, particularly in the US and China.” However, word is the model won’t come equipped with rear-wheel drive. Still worth the greenbacks? Only time will tell.
