Star Fox Being Reimagined For Wii U
Despite the announcement leaking before its E3 Direct event, Nintendo went on to tease a new installment in the Star Fox franchise, which is made playable on the show floor this year. However, Miyamoto wants to be clear that the game is still in its early development stages and will not be anywhere ready until next year. This sort of advancement for its beloved franchise truly does show the future Nintendo wants. The game utilizes the special nature of the Wii U gamepad and provides the unique cockpit view that players will get to experience firsthand. Your TV will provide the traditional Star Fox camera POV and lets you oversee the fights, while using the gamepad for precise movements. With enhanced mechanics and bigger open-world environments, Nintendo should now be able to compete with Microsoft and Sony, contending in a market they’ve been shut out of for the past year and a half.
