Transformer Prime: The Game
Price: $30
As IGN best put it: “Finally, a Nintendo-only Transformers title that gets it right.” Based on the latest cartoon series, Prime splits the story mode between five different Autobots, taking our heroes through a variety of stages that offer shoot’em action and high-speed vehicle chases. Unlike the previous titles in the franchise (including the crappy film spin-offs), the gameplay’s been refined, primarily the melee combat. Much fun to be had with Optimus Prime and the gang.
Paper Mario: Sticker Star
Price: $40
Fans of the original Paper Mario will be happy to see the storybook presentation and turn-based battle system from the previous titles present in Sticker Star. But Nintendo’s made some bold changes in the gameplay—ditching leveling, badges, and party members for stickers. As silly as the new sticker system sounds, it works pretty well. Don’t judge. Besides, the hilarious story arc and challenging boss battles are what truly draw your interest.
