The news became official weeks back at San Diego Comic-Con of Warner Bros. working on a Batman vs Superman film, which many believe will turn out to the be the next chapter in the Man of Steel trilogy. With the comic book blockbuster already being scripted and scheduled for a 2015 release, the film studio is already on the hunt for the next actor to suit up as the Caped Crusader. According to Batman on Film, WB is casting for an older version of Batman, one most likely in his 40s. Another report from The Hollywood Reporter has the following names on this massive list of people being heavily considered for the role.

Josh Brolin (Gangster Squad, Jonah Hex)
Ryan Gosling (Gangster Squad, Drive)
Joe Manganiello (True Blood, Magic Mike)
Max Martini (Revenge, Castle)
Matthew Good (Watchmen)
Richard Armitage (The Hobbit)

WB is apparently considering over 30 other thespians for the possible acting gig. We can’t tell what’s more ridiculous: the names being brought into the conversation or the actual list of actors being courted for the role. Then again, the studio hasn’t failed us when it comes to Bruce Wayne. Third time is always a charm.
