Expected Changes
While I was given the opportunity to participate in the A38’s beta program, we stress again that this is not the final product and other upgrades will be integrated over the next several months. Astro looks to place a stronger focus on the noise-canceling microphone, hoping to improve noise filtering and mic clarity. Also, the wireless range will increase through an enhanced antenna, though we have no indication what the new frequency rate will be. Last is volume with the company promising to work on louder increments.
For those of you that are interested in the beta program, the headset is available for purchase on the company’s website. The final product won’t be available until later this year, and since they have time to add features to the headset, we’re hoping Astro will consider making an adapter that opens the door for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One compatibility. Just a thought.
