Auto customization specialists AC Schnitzer add some awesome performance and stylish upgrades to the BMW 1-Series F20 sedan, which is set for an unveiling at the 2011 Essen Motor Show in Germany. Schnitzer’s power kit will offer a reprogrammed engine control unit for the initial four-cylinder disel models, pushing up to 171hp in the 118d model and 210hp for the 120d model. Other performance enhancements include a throatier exhaust system with chromed tail pipes and lowered sports suspension kits. The exterior comes laced with roof spoiler and alloy wheel designs (18- or 19-inches). Inside, you’re looking at an aluminum i-Drive system cover, pedals, and handbrake handle, also bespoke gear knob with digital gear display and an all-new sports steering wheel to be announced soon. Pricing and availability is MIA at the moment, but we’re sure something will leak when the F20 is unveiled this week. Stay tuned.
