18. Arma 2
Platform(s): PC
Year: 2009
Military sims are a rarity on the game scene. Good ones are ever more scarce. ArmA 2 brought a sense of realism that has yet to be duplicated to the grand extent it demonstrated, which was spearheaded by its sharp presentation and technical perfection. Fighting was remarkable, where as the single-player campaign brought excitement to what most FPS fans would typically complain to be a snooze fest. Its extensive mod support has also given the game a longer shelf life and opened the world to even more chaotic warfare. —AB
