Will this standalone flick set the stage for Phase Three?
Ever since the post-credits scene of The Avengers, the specter of the Mad Titan and the endless possibilities of the final showdown has been rolling in the minds of comic nerds for years. Instead, all of the developments of Phase Two (Iron Man 3 to Captain America: the Winter Soldier) have been leading to Age of Ultron. This movie is essentially a vehicle to introduce the Mad Titan into the cinematic universe Marvel is building. However, whether the events of this movie have an impact on what lies ahead of the Avengers before Thanos makes his move is unknown.
