What lies in store for Yondu?
Though this movie will focus on the 2008 incarnation of the Guardians, based on the comic books, a member and founder of the original Guardians from the 1969 comic series will have a part to play as well. Michael Rooker was cast as Yondu, a Centaurian hunter and mystic who eventually forms the Guardians of the Galaxy to combat a species called the Badoon. Though Yondu is downgraded to a minor character in the film, with focus on Star-Lord, Gamorra, Rocket, Groot and Drax, a character of his original significance must have an important role to play in the film. Perhaps he may join with the Guardians in a potential future film?
