During the latest Inner Circle Podcast, Xbox Marketing Executive Aaron Greenberg had a few interesting things to say about the future of the Xbox One and Microsoft. The initial wave of comments came when asked about what Microsoft’s plans for E3 were this year and he didn’t hold back.

Expect a lot of surprises. Expect us to talk a lot about games. And if you’re an Xbox owner, I think you’re going to leave really, really, really happy in the investment you made. And if you’re undecided, we hope that you will look at what we deliver on games and want to buy an Xbox.”

He went on to exclaim his great pleasure in the  work that Microsoft is doing to support the Xbox One and later added that he feels that Microsoft is going to take a whole new approach to E3 this year stating: “I think we’re going to take a little bit of a different approach to E3 this year. But I feel really good about it. It’s been really exciting.”

That wasn’t all of his comments for the evening though. He went on to further exclaim just how much the fans are influencing the decisions made to update the Xbox One. Here are his comments on how the Xbox Feedback Website is helping the company shape the future of the Xbox One:

“That’s definitely influencing what we’re doing. And we’re going to be pretty relentlessly innovating. You can expect us to continue to invest in Xbox Live as the premium online network; continue to see us invest with more apps, more capabilities; people ask for screenshots, you saw that come through in the preview. We’ve just been month after month delivering what’s been high on people’s lists, and we’re going to continue to do that… The team has a long list of things that they’re still working on as well. Hopefully people that buy an Xbox One realize it gets better every month, and a year from now, the product that they have is going to be substantially better.”

As well and good as it is to see the Xbox Marketing Executive making claims that the company will improve their product, it does appear that Microsoft is at least living up to their claim of “we will try to make it better.” They do release system updates every month and their list of upcoming games is impressive and with Windows 10 and HoloLens coming out from Microsoft, we could see some pretty advanced features hitting the Xbox One in the coming years.

Stay tuned for more news as we approach the coveted weekend of them all, E3.
