Barbie caught in a sex scandal? No surprise there. The Huffington Post reports that after an internal memo leak from the agency’s Sacramento field office, the FBI is issuing a warning that the Barbie Video Girl, a doll with a built-in video camera capable of recording up to 30 minutes of footage, is a “possible child pornography production method” for pedophiles.
There have been no reported incidents since the toy was first released in July, with FBI Special Agent Steven Dupree also confirming no disturbances. However, many are looking over their shoulders, and lips are passing the phrase: Beware of Barbie. Should the Barbie Video Girl be considered a possible child pornography tool for sexual predators?
