David Cronenberg’s 1986 adaptation of The Fly is by far the greatest horror remake of all-time. So why would he want to tarnish that image by remaking his own work? Guess the director loves a challenge. BloodyDisgusting reports he’s onboard to write and direct the film for 20th Century Fox, the same studio who released the critically acclaimed ’86 version. With today’s technology, we’re looking forward to seeing how Cronenberg can keep us from sleeping again.
