Seeing how the Resident Evil film series continues to cash in at the box office, it was only a matter of time before Sony Pictures snagged another blockbuster gaming franchise. The question is which one? Well, Variety is reporting that the studio is nearly set to close a deal to tackle on a big screen adaptation of Ubisoft’s stealth action title: Assassin’s Creed. Ironic that the announcement is being made nearly three weeks before the fourth game (Assassin’s Creed: Revelations) hits stores? Don’t think so. We’re wondering who Sony has in mind for the role of Desmond Miles. Why do we envision Taylor Lautner? Call it an uncomfortable hunch.
