Recently Philip announced their Immersive Sound home theatre system in Barcelona. The sound system includes a base unit, subwoofer and 5 satellites. What makes it a little abnormal is each of those satellites contains three speakers, which can provide 360-degree surround sound. The base unit entails a Blu-ray/DVD player and a DLNA that lets you stream files from your PC. What’s surprising is that it will only consume 0.3W of power on standby mode. The price tag is still unknown, but we’ll keep audiophiles posted once word spread.
