Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren—these are the auto giants the come up in conversation when discussing luxury supercar brands. Time to get familiar with one more, that being French carmaker Peugeot. The company has gained serious notoriety from auto junkies across the globe with its jaw-dropping Peugeot Onyx supercar concept. Now we’ll actually get to see the stunner on display as the prototype is set for a public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed next month.

Those unfamiliar with the Onyx, here’s an abridged overview. A diesel-electric hybrid unit paired with a 3.7-litre V8 diesel engine and lithium-ion battery pack powers it. All that muscle produces 507kW of power. The vehicle also supports a hybrid-diesel powerplant mated to a six-speed sequential transmission, plus features an electric system that generates an extra 80hp. We’re pretty sure all that went ove your head as you continue to drool over the car’s marveling design. It’s all good.

Just keep July 11th on your radar, as Peugeot pulls off the covers at the 20th Anniversary of the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
