For months, Microsoft has been teasing its upcoming desktop OS in Windows 10. Granted the company’s released a technical preview of the software, no plans are in order to launch new builds of it. Instead the PC giant looks to move forward with a consumer preview sometime in early 2015.
WinBeta reports the consumer preview would include features such as Cortana integration, the new start screen, and Continumm, which is a new UI switching mode in Windows 10 that lets users swap out the interface from desktop to tablet. We could also see some new improvements to the notification center, as well as Live Tiles on the desktops and minor tweaks to the entire UI. Microsoft has yet to comment on the report.
