We reported on the rumors of actor/director Mel Gibson possibly jumping onboard as the next major villain in The Expendables 3. Looks like several foreign news outlets (bnews.bg, novinite.bg, m.standartnews.com) have all confirmed his casting in the film.

“Mel Gibson himself will join the cast of “The Expendables 3”, which automatically means that the megastar will come in August here. Hollywood sex symbol will visit Bulgaria for the first time, but released as a “Standard” can not wait to see the unique scenery in cinema center.

Interesting tidbit, especially since the report above and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s recent claim have the film shooting in August. This is an interesting development.
