LOL, New Apple CEO Dismisses Steve Jobs Era By Telling Employees: ‘Our best years lie ahead’

First and foremost, we wish former CEO and tech guru Steve Jobs the best of luck in his future endeavors. After Jobs resigned yesterday as Apple’s capo, COO Tim Cook has stepped up to the plate as the company’s new CEO. But after Jobs finished out his full day of work at Apple headquarters, Cook sent out an email to all employees about Jobs great contributions and how he feels the best is yet to come. Really dude? He promises Apple will continue its reign as the best tech company out there: “I am confident our best years lie ahead of us and that together we will continue to make Apple the magical place that it is.”

Now keep in mind this is not a subliminal jab at Jobs, but Cook’s wishful thinking of making Apple a bigger company without Jobs seems unrealistic in everyone’s eyes. Hey, if you haven’t kept tabs on the numbers, Apple’s stock has already taken a hit since Jobs resignation. And just keep in mind what happened the last time he wasn’t apart of the company. You know, when they fired, then rehired him. And on a side note, does anyone find it strange that he quit after it was announced that the iPhone 5 would be hitting different carriers this fall? Thought so.

Ars Technica received the email, which you can read in full below:
