LG’s jumping on the Green bandwagon with the GD510, dubbed the “Pop”, which is a touchscreen cell with a 3” WQVGA screen, large solar panel, and 3-megapixel camera with autofocus technology. The Pop’s solar panel is geared to restoring battery power when not in use, and the LG’s simplistic design and user-interface make the mechanics of working a smartphone much easier for novices. The Pop comes with 8GB of file storage, which can be used for photos, videos or music; and is capable of recording video as well as taking photos. Available in mid-October in Europe, its unknown when we’ll get a glimpse of the Pop here in the states.
