HTC One Finally Hitting Verizon, Unlocked Version Sees Price Increase

Remember months back when HTC announced its flagship phone would not be available on Verizon? Either the demand for the HTC One blew up or the Droid DNA isn’t moving the way Big Red expected it to. Well, the mobile carrier confirmed the upcoming release of the smartphone on its VZWNews Twitter page for late summer.

Ironically, the manufacturer will also be releasing an unlocked version of the One, though its original price tag of $575 has been bumped up to $600 on the HTC site. Why is that? No specific reason has been stated at the moment. Seeing how HTC will be releasing a Google Edition version of the phone at the same price tag, guess it only makes sense. Would you drop that much for an unlocked version?
