23. 3D-Glasses
Inventor: Kenneth J. Dunkley
Year: 1985
Next time you head out to the theaters to catch a 3D film, make sure to throw some respect towards Kenneth Dunkley’s way. Becoming one of the leaders in the holography field, Dunkley composed the technique of blocking off two points of a person’s peripheral vision and brought it all together in glasses form to view third-dimensional images. To say he’s changed the way we enjoy our visual experience these days would be an understatement.
