2. ISA systems bus and 1GHz RISC CPU
Inventor: Mark Dean
Year: 1981
If one were to ever assemble a top list of tech pioneers who forever revolutionized the computer industry, Mark Dean easily falls under that top five. Aside from designing the Industry Standard Architecture systems bus, a component that enables different machines such as printers and modems to connect to a PC, he’s also responsible for the creation of the 1GHZ RISC processor chip. Pretty admirable accomplishments for the first-ever African American to join IBM. Those are what you call game changers.
