A system capable of sending voice and telegraph messages back in the late 1800s? Believe it. Woods’ practically combined the telephone and telegraph to create the above attraction, which allowed for communication over a single wire. This device would pave the way for his most famous invention, the Synchronous Multiplex Railway Telegraph—a system that allowed for messages to be sent and received from trains and railway stations.
