The 2011 Ferrari 599 GTO is a masterpiece. This work of art has a 661-hp, 6.0-liter V-12 engine with an all-aluminum space-frame that’s 200lbs lighter than the 599 GTB, 20-inch Michelin tires, and goes from 0-60 in 3.3 seconds. Ferrari calls it “the fastest ever road car,” and with a top speed of 208mph, it’s not a stretch.
The interior is made of mostly carbon fiber and the aerodynamics are much improved from previous models due to a lower splitter for the front spoiler, diffusers at the front and rear, side sills and F1 inspired discs between the wheels and brake rotors to filter hot air in order to reduce drag.
This is a machine and the people over at Enzo’s continue to push the envelope. Don’t be surprised to see the 599GTO in a high-budget action flick in the near future.
