For several months now, gamers have been teased with the turntable peripheral for this holiday season’s biggest videogame: DJ Hero. Producer Will Townsend isn’t afraid to give the people what they yearn for, and that’s official gameplay footage. Showcasing his skills on the wheels of steel for us, Evolve presents an exclusive look at the highly anticipated music simulator that’s guaranteed to scratch its mark on the gaming market come October.

Created in the same fashion as Guitar Hero and Rock Band, Townsend (impressively) illustrates how accuracy and precision continue to play a key role in establishing a loyal fanbase and producing high ranked scores. The peripheral comes strapped with 3 stream buttons, a crossfader, an effects dial button and a “Euphoria” button, which transformers gamers into the sickest DJ on the turntables for an instant moment. You won’t see left-handed DJ’s freeze up in the booth because the turntable is detachable to meet the needs of southpaws too. Hero will feature some microphone action as well, for those looking to stretch their vocals rather than scratch up tracks.

The star studded guest list can only be described as prestigious. DJ Hero features an abundance of highly acclaimed musicians, from 50 Cent to Marvin Gaye, Nirvana to Herbie Hancock. Special remixes and downloadable content are just a few of the numerous other features for this game.

If you ask us, we’re already going bonkers for the Renegade Edition, which features a Limited Edition turntable controller, metal traveling case, DJ stand and greatest hits CD’s from Jay-Z and Eminem. The holidays is approaching, which means reservations are a must. DJ Hero leaves the warehouse October 27, with the regular edition tagged at $119.99 and the Renegade Edition at $199.99.
