A variety of new titles were introduced during Nintendo’s E3 showcase presentation. Sure, games like Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Smash Bros. 4 and Super Mario 3D World stole the spotlight, but the Big N dropped a gem in between those announcements—that being Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze for the Wii U. Sticking to its platform roots, Donkey’s latest adventure welcomes new gameplay dynamics to the series, while bringing back some old-school elements sure to please dieharders like underwater levels.
