The rumor mill has actor Edward Norton set to play the latest Bourne villain in the planned fourth installment of the franchise titled The Bourne Legacy. It’s said that he’s finalizing negotiations to star opposite Jeremy Renner, who will replace Matt Damon and star as assassin that trains under Damon’s character. Ironically, Renner is filming the Marvel blockbuster, The Avengers, which Norton was in talks to return as Bruce Banner AKA The Hulk, but declined to offer to jump onboard. The Bourne Legacy is set to hit theaters August 3rd, 2012.
