Devil May Cry Review Storyline

Story

The game is set in a parallel universe of the Devil May Cry series, kicking things off with Dante recovering from a night of drinking and entertaining females. The moment he hears a voice from a girl telling him he has to get out, he’s attacked by a hunter demon. Kat, the female who helps Dante, learns he is in Limbo City—a dark territory that appears normal at first, but transforms into a twisted city filled with demons and other monsters that are bizarrely hideous and attack Dante every chance possible. The same woman convinces him to meet her boss, the leader of “The Order,” an organization labeled by the press as terrorists. The Order is fighting against Limbo’s demons and its leader is none other than sibling Vergil.

Dante is asked to join the organization, but has reservations. Ironically, Vergil and Kat must show Dante his real past as he comes to terms with being told he is a Nephilim: the offspring of a demon and angel. You’re soon shown how Dante’s received his powers. Throughout the game, Dante is frequently taunted and stalked by the demon Mundus, who seeks to have Dante killed. Sound entertaining?

Limbo City

This is one city you would never want to visit. We’re talking about an area where the builds are decrepit and every time Dante walks by, it moves and falls apart. A place where you hear the whispers of “Kill Dante,” plus has writing on the floors and walls with notices of “DIE.” Pretty creepy!

Take your time walking around, as floors will drop and walls come closing in. Stay prepared or you’ll wind up getting crushed. The city where Dante is constantly being pulled into is run by demons, so keep a lookout as you’ll be able to see souls moving around with you.
