Disney CEO Breaks Jack Sparrow's Spirit

The LA Times reports Disney CEO Robert Iger “ousted” chairman of Disney, Dick Cook about two days ago, and the news didn’t sit too well with Johnny Depp. As part of the Pirates of the Carribbean machine, Depp had announced Pirates 4 and his return as Jack Sparrow at the D23 Expo just a week ago. Looks like the future isn’t so golden for the actor:

As for the fourth planned “Pirates” movie, Depp said while he has a potential deal in place that will depend on how good the script is, his passion for the project at the moment has been severely dampened by the news that Cook will no longer be around.

“There’s a fissure, a crack in my enthusiasm at the moment,” Depp said. “It was all born in that office.”

The Pirate films were always overrated in our opinion, but Disney’s been making too many business moves lately. Things are looking flakey over at Mickey’s ranch.
