Console Controls
Making the switch from the PC keyboard to a DualShock controller could be a difficult adjustment. Not here. The Diablo III controls go into a completely different direction on the PS3. For example, using the right thumb stick lets you dash, eliminating the whole point-and-click movement system found on the PC version. In actuality, the controls feel very familiar to the God of War games. You have six active skills, which are all assigned to different buttons on the gamepad, making fights much easier to engage in than on the PC.
Weak Multiplayer & Tedious Dungeons
This is where things get a little tricky. Playing co-op offline becomes a bit annoying. If you and a friend are not on the same level, the game becomes impossible to play. The online part is just as bad, as the game requires two players to jump in the game simultaneously to partake in the action together. Going through the inventory screen requires players to wait for one another to stop before moving forward.
The Sanctuary is pretty large, thus giving you more than enough areas to loot up. Only problem is it all becomes routine as most of the dungeons look and feel the same. You’ll only be able to tell the difference between them when encountering bosses. I was just hoping for a more diverse layout here.
