detroitGT Rides Into Chevy Dream Cruise Celebration With Classic Truck and Limited Edition T-Shirts

This year’s Chevy Dream Cruise and centennial festivities brought out some of the most iconic GM vehicles in celebration of the auto manufacturer’s 100-year history. And while we caught glimpses of the hottest never-before-seen concepts at the legendary GM Heritage Center, along with some of the craziest nostalgic whips of Chevy’s past, our biggest impression came from a fully functioning, prison laundry truck of the mid 1900s, that till this day, serves as the main base for an entrepreneur t-shirt designer.

Meet the Leo—a 1979 Chevrolet P10 Step Van owned by t-shirt specialist and detroitGT owner—Christopher Gorski. Riding across the state in his classic four-wheeler, which surprisingly runs on a ’67 283 Chevy V-8 with an Edelbrock carb, intake and cam, he goes from town to town selling his own unique set of casual tops that play off of the D’s auto-centric lifestyle. True to it Motor City roots, Chris’ simplistic, yet stylish designs have made him a homegrown celebrity in Detroit, MI. Having hooked us up with a couple of fresh tees from the side of the truck (which you can view below), its quite an amazing story how he managed to save this ’79 Chevy truck and still have it running without any hiccups. Get a close look at the four-wheeler, along with some of Chris’ creations, which you can purchase at detroitGT’s Etsy Shop account.
