Dell steps their Intel game up with their XPS 8000 and 9000 models, as both will tackle the new Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. The 8000 rolls with a 500GB hard disk, 4GB of DDR3-1066 RAM and runs for $800, while the 9000 is rumored to run for $900. The Core i7-860 (2.8GHz) and Core i7-870 (2.93GHz) CPUs will run for about $170 or $380 extra, with a RAM capacity that can stack up to 16GB or 2TB of storage. Blu-ray will be optional as well.
