For the past three years numerous names have been attached to the Green Lantern film. Common was once linked to the role, so was Ryan Gosling. With Bradley Cooper coming off a strong summer outing (The Hangover), he would likely be the front runner, but recently Ryan Reynolds and somehow Justin Timberlake have made the shortlist of actors to possibly don the green aura. The trio performed two screen tests and beat out actors Michael Fassbender, Henry Cavill and Jared Leto for the role. Only time will tell who will play the DC hero. The Green Lantern’s budget is looking pretty big right now (at about $150-200 million) and is scheduled to begin production at the end of this year in Sydney for release Summer 2011.
