It sucks to be in America. Why? Well, apparently Konami is scheduled to launch a new Contra game—tomorrow on the Japanese WiiWare online store. Titled Contra: Rebirth, the game will tackle the same the run/jump/shoot controls and frustrating gameplay that has made the original iconic. No word yet if we will experience Contra: Rebirth in the states, but the odds are favorable. It just sucks that we can’t get first dibs on it.
