We’ve been aware of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus making its rounds onto Sprint after ads leaked out last week, but the carrier has made it official at this year’s CES festivities. There’s one catch to this LTE-enabled version though—Google Wallet integration. That’s right. Sprint’s version will feature full NFC capability, spotlighted by Google’s wireless payment service. Verizon made the decision to not support Google Wallet due to the carrier working on its own payment system. Just another reason to jump ship to Sprint, huh?
No word on whether Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus will receive a stronger processor than the rumored 1.5GHz CPU, though it’s been confirmed that the storage capacity has been dropped to 16GB. Ouch. A release date is also TBA. We say expect it sometime late Spring or Early summer. Hopefully it doesn’t run three Benjamins just like its Verizon brethren.
