Marvel Comics editor-in-chief Joe Quesada briefly discussed the Captain America script during a Q&A session at NYC’s Comic-Com. “I’ve seen a couple of outlines and an initial screenplay, and it’s going to rock everyone’s socks off…it’s very unexpected, the kind of movie it is,” Quesada says.
Captain American, along with Marvel’s other planned blockbuster Thor, will set up The Avengers storyline, with Iron Man 3 most likely joining the trinity. Who will play Army officer Steve Rogers is still uncertain, but superstars like Matthew McConaughey, Leonardo DiCaprio and Will Smith have all been linked to the project. Hope the budget is there.
