Sony Xperia Z2

Sony’s track record with the Xperia line has been, to say the least, atrocious. Even though it holds a strong following on the international front, the company’s failed to gain any traction in the states due to the strong presence of other Android manufacturers. The Z2 could very well be the handset that puts Sony back in the mobile hunt—boasting a glut of features including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 CPU, 3GB of RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat, 5.2-inch 1080p HD display, and a phenomenal 20.7MP camera sensor. A waterproof design also helps its cause.

A few days after Google unveiled its 3D-mapping smartphone, the Internet goliath went on to surprise a select few with its secret project. Project Tango is billed as the wave of the future in terms of mobile, boasting advanced 3D sensors that track motion and build visual maps of rooms using 3D scanning technology. The overall effect allows users to detect objects from further distances. Google feels Project Tango will expand the possibilities of indoor navigation and immerse 3D gaming. That could very well be the case.
