Despite stepping out of its comfort bubble and producing larger-screened iPhone models in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple could be returning to form and releasing a 4-inch low-end model sometime next year. A new report from AppleInsider suggests the company will debut such a handset according to a note sent to investors by analyst Timothy Arcuri of Cowen and Company.
Arcuri believes it’s “possible” that Apple will launch three new versions of the iPhone next year, with the iPhone 6S mini joining the family and bearing a similar spec sheet to the iPhone 5s. Though such a device could sport a new design with curved screen edges. It’s worth nothing that Arcuri’s track record on Apple rumors is hit or miss.
We expect to hear more on the rumored handset sometime this coming winter. Stay tuned!
