Remakes are in the Franchise’s DNA
It’s not like Capcom is exactly strangers to the concept of remaking their biggest games. The original RE was resurrected on the Nintendo GameCube, a scant six years after the release of the original, to great critical acclaim. It also went on to sell over a million copies, making it one of the platform’s highest-selling titles at the time. Anyone can see this being a clear sign for Capcom to venture back into remake territory, as its previous HD re-releases and Resident Evil reboots have proven to be solid investments.
