Make Up for Previously Attempted “Reboots”
Oh, and you know who else has already started remaking Resident Evil 2? Capcom. Well, sorta. The Darkside Chronicles included a scenario titled “Memories of a Lost City,” which recreated part of the story of RE2, albeit done in the on-rails shooter style. It was a fun throwback, but just a few levels in an inferior follower that was far from a substitute for a real reimagining. Instead of falling back on RE2 in favor of filler spin-offs, the publisher must treat the game with the respect it deserves and dish it a full-length feature.
