The luxury carmaker hasn’t released a drop-top S-Class convertible since the W111 Cabriolet, which sold for a decade beginnin from 1961. Now plans are for a 2015 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Convertible to hit showroom floors sometime late 2014/early 2015—available in either twin-turbo V8 or V12 engines. Being that the final design has yet to be unveiled, rendering specialist Remco Meulendijk took a stab at assembling the vehicle by introducing minute exterior upgrades such as a fabric soft-top. The next-gen S-Class Convertible looks to be sitting on 21-inch wheels and bears a wheelbase of 2945mm with a length measurement of 5050mm. Looks good thus far. Check out the renderings below.
