2012 Ford Focused on Right Path

The five-door hatchback Ford Focus 2012 bears a new low-front end, larger grille, platinum shell and other exterior fancies fit for four-wheel drive. All operations are easily accommodated through user-friendly controls such as newly installed high-end five-way touchpads on the steering-wheel spokes, plus an 8-inch touch-screen display to top off the dashboard.

A 2.0-liter direct-injected, dual overhead-cam 4-cynlinder is the standard engine; with the possibility of an upgraded EcoBoost turbo-charged engine available in the near future. 155 horsepower, along with 145 ft-lbs of torque pull weight on street and highway roads as well. Owners will also have the option to bask in either a six-speed manual transmission or Ford’s new dual-clutch six-speed unit dubbed the “Powershift.”

Ford plans on releasing a miniscule number of fully electric Focus vehicles, all providing up to about 1000 miles. Rumors continue to circulate about the Focus ’12 fuel efficiency, with insiders co-signing 30 mpg city, 40 mpg highway mileage. Standout features include a a semi-automatic parallel parking system, keyless entry and ignition, a rearview camera, new MyFord “driver connect” technology and voice-operated Sync connectivity. Ford is definitely focused on the future.
