In 2011, Benz will be introducing the S350 4MATIC BlueTec Diesel in the U.S.—the only full-size luxury diesel-fueled sedan in America. The BlueTec Diesel is powered by a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6, 241-hp engine that will get you 37 mpg. Although the Diesel S350 ranks at the near bottom of the S-Class totem pole in terms of power, it ranks higher in efficiency. The S350 will have all the standard features of an S-Class but will use AdBlue urea injection to clean the exhaust. Blame the economy and global warming for the return of the Mercedes Diesel in the states after 16 years.
