Although not entirely world-changing for the market, new rumors of Nintendo secretly announcing a new 3D Super Mario at E3 continue to surface. Question is: Which series will it be? The company could finally make us all happy and bring to fruition Super Mario Galaxy 3. Then again, they can appease the hardcore fans and welcome a new Super Mario Sunshine. After all, 12 years is a long wait for one of the Gamecube’s most beloved titles. Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto already told us not to assume the end of the Mario Galaxy franchise when previously launching Super Mario 3D World. With the dramatic success of Mario Kart 8 and the excitement over its upcoming press events at E3, Nintendo could bask in a trend they haven’t experienced in a long time, actual profit. That is if the right franchises are brought back in to the fold.
