8. No-Touch Interfaces

When voice-command systems first entered the mobile world, people were skeptical. You’d say “Call Dan,” and your phone would Google search “Bald Man.” But voice-recognition has improved dramatically over the past few years. In fact, 2014 has experienced a complete voice-command takeover. This is evidence by iOS Siri, Google Now, and now, Microsoft’s Cortana. These features remove that last bit of inconvenience in our lives: typing, taping, and swiping. The devices serve as a virtual secretary; a know-all, 24-hour assistant. And since we love to see results with little effort, no-touch interfaces will only continue to expand.
