Looks like YouTube users will now be able to watch 1080p video clips on the site’s HTML5 player, while basking in new features such as closed captioning, annotations, and native fullscreen playback. Other notable upgrades include “buffer-free playback” and “seamless transition between quality settings.” Keep in mind that not every feature is compatible with all YouTube videos, so if you’re planning on testing the waters, we recommend doing so with HD clips.
