Despite Fox already releasing X-Men: Days of Future Past on Blu-Ray and DVD, the studio has plans of releasing another version of the blockbuster—a version called the “Rogue Cut” featuring 10 minutes of extra footage and Anna Paquin’s cut scenes. Producer Simon Kinberg spoke briefly about the cut, mentioning other sequences involving other characters that will be included as well:
“It’s a big chunk, a substantial part of the movie. We want to give (fans) the fullest picture of the film — behind the camera, and in front of it… Every movie has scenes that are cut out, but not every movie has scenes cut out with such a beloved character.”
You might remember reports of Paquin’s scenes being removed from the final version to due to her storyline not fitting well with the final cut. Though it will be great to see what was originally shot, the same can’t be said for the fans that went out and brought a copy of the film this past week.
