Yea Tom Cruise is a Looney Tune, but fortunately for us ignorance isn’t contagious. Valkyrie tells the true story of a colonel who plots an assassination against Nazi leader Adolph Hitler—his name, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg. Director Bryan Singer (X2, Superman Returns) does what he does best—gives us some great action scenes. And Cruise doesn’t do that bad of a job as the lead. Could be a whole lot worse, you could be watching another Mission Impossible sequel.
