In hopes to beat out the competition, Verizon is now offering early device upgrades to its current customers. The offer comes in the wake of Apple’s iPhone 6 announcement, which has induced frenzy in the tech world — fanboys are scrambling to get their hands on the new device, test the features, and critique the changes. Unfortunately for many, an upgrade will come at a steep cost; most carriers only permit device swaps every two years.
But Verizon’s offer doesn’t just apply to those hoping to snag the newest iPhone. As of Monday, customers will be able to upgrade to any new device, Apple and Android alike.
Yet, of course, there’s a catch: This offer only applies to customers who would have been due for an upgrade on or before November 15th. All others will just have to twiddle their thumbs and wait like the rest of us.
